According this article, the number of libertarian Republicans in Congress has risen by a whopping 400% - from one (Ron Paul) to five (senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul and representatives Ron Paul, Mick Mulveny and Justin Amash).

Five down, five hundred and thirty to go.

Although not a lot of libertarians were elected, a lot of tea party candidates were elected who are fiscally conservative, for limited government, specifically endorse the individual versus the state, and socially liberal. I helped get one elected, and it appears to me there are at least a dozen more, though I can't rattle them off the top of my head. If you want, I can dig into that for you. Many of these are in the states between the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest.
