And You Thought All Terrorist Groups Were Islamic? Wrong!

Weary of hearing the leftists drag out the rotting corpse of Timothy McVeigh whenever they want to smear "right-wingers" as potential terrorists, I thought I'd document just a few international terrorist groups that are animated by leftist ideology.

ETA - "Euskadi Ta Askatasuna, or ETA (English: Basque Homeland and Freedom; pronounced [ˈɛːta]), is an armed Basque nationalist and separatist organisation. The group was founded in 1959 and has since evolved from a group promoting traditional Basque culture to a paramilitary group with the goal of gaining independence for the Greater Basque Country from a Marxist-Leninist perspective." [Wiki]

Tamil Tigers - From International Socialism Journal or ISJ (http://www.isj.org.uk/index.php4?id=182&issue) "But there is nothing specifically Islamist about the methods of the suicide bomb. The leading practitioners of suicide attacks as a weapon do not come from the Middle East, nor are they Muslims. They are the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, whose ideology is not religious but ‘Marxist-Leninist’ (though their cultural background is Hindu), and whose aim is the secular goal of national liberation. Robert Pape, who has closely analysed suicide attacks between 1980 and 2003, reckons they are responsible for the biggest single group of attacks—some 76 out of a total of 315. This is more than the number committed by the Palestinian group Hamas."

FARC - "The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – People's Army (Spanish: Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – Ejército del Pueblo), also known by the acronym of FARC or FARC-EP, is a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerrilla organization based in Colombia, which is involved in the ongoing Colombian armed conflict. FARC-EP is a peasant army which has proclaimed itself as a revolutionary agrarian, anti-imperialist Marxist-Leninist organization of Bolivarian inspiration."

And: "FARC has been accused of committing violations of human rights by numerous groups, including the Colombian government, U.S. government, European Union, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and United Nations.

A February 2005 report from the United Nations' High Commissioner for Human Rights mentioned that, during 2004, 'FARC-EP continued to commit grave breaches [of human rights] such as murders of protected persons, torture and hostage-taking, which affected many civilians, including women, returnees, boys and girls, and ethnic groups.'"

PBCP - "The Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) is among the many Maoist splinter organizations in Bangladesh. It was founded in the year 1968 following a split in the Bangladesh Communist Party (BCP). The PBCP has a revolutionary agenda of capturing state power through armed struggle. Its draws inspiration from the Chinese revolution."

And: "PBCP cadres have reportedly been involved in acts of murder, robbery, extortion, land grabbing and abduction for ransom. Bangladesh Home Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury said, on April 8, 2002, in Parliament that the PBCP was being encouraged by the Opposition to cause disturbances in some parts of the country. Speaking in the context of all outlawed parties, and that includes the PBCP, the Minister added that 'Members of the outlawed parties are involved in rape, murder, dacoity, extortion, and other terrorist activities', as well as in land grabbing."

CPI-M - "The Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCC) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) People's War (also known as the People's War Group or PWG) merged to form a new entity, the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist). Both organizations shared their belief in the 'annihilation of class enemies' and in 'extreme violence as a means to secure organizational goals.' [...]

'However, significant ideological divisions did exist in the past, with the PWG adhering to a Marxist-Leninist 'line', while the MCC embraced Maoism. These differences have now been ironed over, with Maoism prevailing, in the words of PWG Andhra Pradesh State 'Secretary', as "the higher stage of the M-L (Marxist-Leninist) philosophy. Marxism-Leninism-Maoism will be the ideological basis guiding its (CPI-Maoist's) thinking in all spheres of its activities." The new entity has reaffirmed its commitment to the classical Maoist strategy of 'protracted armed struggle' which defines its objectives not in terms of the seizure of lands, crops, or other immediate goals, but the seizure of power. Within this perspective, participation in elections and engagement with the prevailing 'bourgeois democracy' are rejected, and all efforts and attention is firmly focused on 'revolutionary activities' to undermine the state and seize power."

There are so many Marxist/Communist scumbags and too little time to document them all. Suffice it to say, the laundry list of leftist terrorist attacks is a mile long, while those of American conservatives is minute, and of libertarians, non-existent. When one believes in an ideology that sanctifies life, then one attempts to preserve life. When one loathes life and has no respect for the individual, one might find oneself in a leftist or Islamist death cult strapping on a suicide belt. And for what? To bring a paradise on earth?

The diabolical end of leftism is that it convinces its adherents that they can achieve the good by performing evil. It is a great switch that makes a virtue out of destruction, justifies all manner of immorality, and rationalizes killing as a "sacrifice for the betterment of man." At the end of both leftism and Islamism is faith: The faith that destruction clears the way for utopia. Neither have solutions for man's plight except to level all and begin again. Disposing of reason and truth, leftism envisions a mystical transition from cataclysm to communism, while Islamism envisions the mass murder of infidels as preparation for the thirteenth imam. The secular socialists and the religious socialists have identified peace, truth, rationality, and justice as the enemy and are rampaging across the planet in senseless acts of violence to achieve their unachievable aims.
