I'm not sure if he is religious or not. Some observers may see appealing to Christianity as the quickest way to gin up outrage and to counter the left. In the long run, however, morality in the public sphere requires a foundation of objectivist ethics. Ardent Christians may not see the ideological affinities of socialism, statism, and Christianity, but it is quite obvious for objectivists.
